Editorial and Ministry Changes

With gratitude to God for his kind providence, we’re sharing a few updates at Tulip Publishing—one farewell and several joyful welcomes.

Editorial Board

First, a warm and heartfelt thank you to Dr Richard Barcellos, who is stepping off Tulip Publishing’s Editorial Board. From the very beginning Richard has offered steady counsel and encouragement—among other things, urging us to look at republishing Rowland S. Ward’s God and Adam. We’re deeply thankful for his years of service and pray the Lord’s continued blessing on his ministry.

We’re also welcoming Dr Daniel Scheiderer to the Editorial Board. Daniel has served as a Reformed Baptist pastor since 2016 and serves the wider church as Assistant Professor of Christian Theology at International Reformed Baptist Seminary, alongside several other projects. He’s married to Patsy and dad to Ana, Malia, Danny, and John. We’re thrilled for the wisdom and pastoral heart he brings, as well as his willingness to help serve as a connection point to the Reformed landscape within the U.S.

Canon and Creed

As we look to the future of Canon & Creed, we’re glad to add Rev Dr Murray Smith to the Canon & Creed Committee. Murray lectures in Biblical Theology & Exegesis at Christ College, Sydney, and guest lectures at the University of Sydney (“Historical Jesus to Written Gospels”). His research focuses on Jesus and the Gospels, biblical eschatology, church government, and the fruitful interplay of biblical and systematic theology in the Reformed tradition. He serves the Presbyterian Church of NSW as Convenor of the Committee for Elders and Deacons, and is an elder at Hornsby Presbyterian Church. Murray and his wife Lynette have five children. We’re thankful for his willingness to serve as Canon and Creed seeks to foster and cultivate confessional Reformed theology across Australia.

The Reformed Experience

Finally, a podcast update: The Reformed Experience is welcoming Dr Wes Bredenhof as co-host alongside Justin Faint. Wes pastors the Free Reformed Church of Launceston, previously served congregations in Langley and Hamilton (Canada), and began ministry in 2000 as a missionary to the Lake Babine Nation. He holds a Th.D. from Reformation International Theological Seminary and has written widely in service of Christ’s church. We can’t wait for the conversations ahead.

We’re encouraged by the willingness of these men to serve Christ’s people with faithful, confessional, and accessible resources in Australia and beyond.

Soli Deo Gloria!
